If you don't plan your time...

If you don't plan your time...

If you don’t plan your time, someone else will help you waste it…

Touché right?

Sounds a little harsh but true.

This is a super common struggle for the women that I work with in the Burnt Out to Blissed Out Program.

They struggle to set clear boundaries around their time.

They haven't specifically allocated space in their week to be the CEO of their business or professional life, to get the exercise they require, to connect with close friends that light them up, to spend time being present with their partner and family.

The result, everyone around them sucks the time up. Requests from staff, email inbox clutter, subcontractor demands, kid’s schedules, client requirements, partner's needs and other people's timelines.

If this is you, you're not alone. In fact, there's a bit of an epidemic of this going on resulting in burnout.

The good news is, YOU can totally change this pattern and create healthy boundaries around your time so that you get your needs met too.

Do you sit down on a Sunday evening and plan your week? Do you make sure to schedule YOURSELF first to get your needs met and then fill in the gaps and holes?

Or do you adapt and blend like a chameleon to meet the needs of everyone around you, and satisfy their requests for your time until you have none left over for yourself?

If this sounds super familiar….Here is my invitation to you.

What would your ideal week look like? How often would you exercise? How much time would you spend planning and thinking in your business vs doing? What activity would you do to connect with your spouse, partner or friend?

Find a blank week in your calendar and put that in first. Then reverse engineer the rest of the week. Do you need to set boundaries around staff interaction? Do you need to ask for help from a partner or friend to meet the scheduling needs for your kids? Maybe you need to more clear with a subcontractor or colleague about realistic timelines for work completed.

Take that first brave step and schedule yourself first. I promise you won’t regret it.
